Question: Hello, I was wondering if it’s ok to have Botox in the neck/jawline and filler around the mouth after a chin implant. Is using Botox and filler around this area likely to cause any infection issues or any other issues to the implant?

Dr A’s Answer: Having facial injections such as Botox, Dysport, Restylane, or Juvederm are all safe to be used after having a facial implant. This includes things like chin implant, cheek implant, and tear-trough implant. Of course the injector should not bring the needle into contact with the implant or into the space immediately around it. It would be best to have a surgeon with intimate knowledge of implant placement do your injections so as to ensure proper technique.
